Asphalt Overlays & Sealcoating
Overlays are often recommended as part of a repair or maintenance project. With extensive experience in overlays and sealcoating, we can present you with a variety of options to suit your needs.
Sectional Patching
Not every project requires a complete reconstruction or overlay. Sectional patching can often be an effective solution to extend the life of your pavement.
Full Depth Reclamation (FDR)
Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) is an effective solution for repairing damaged sections by pulverizing both the asphalt and its granular underlayment, resulting in a uniform, stabilized base course (SBC). This technique provides a durable, long-term solution rather than a temporary fix, while also recycling existing materials.
Mill & Fill
This consists of removing existing pavement with a milling machine to a depth of 1-2”, and then applying new asphalt mix.
Asphalt Removal & Replacement
Eventually, asphalt reaches the end of its life cycle. At that point the only realistic solution is to remove the existing pavement and replace it with new asphalt.
Say goodbye to stressing about paved areas when you work with GPM. Our asphalt team has the expertise to understand your needs and recommend a practical repair or installation plan that fits your budget.

“I felt GPM did a wonderful job. I went down to watch them do the lower street and watching them pave was like poetry in motion. Everyone knew exactly what they were to do and kept moving very professionally. It was 100 degrees out and they all wore masks the whole time. The job they did on the manhole covers is superb, you can’t even tell when you drive over one. Such an improvement to our property.”
-Linda Miller
“I manage HOAs for The Management Trust and have used Matt with GPM on multiple occasions and have never been let down. GPM has amazing communication with their clients and always prioritizes their needs. I’ve gone to numerous board meetings where homeowners even stop board meetings to compliment the work that GPM has done. I’m looking forward to continued business with GPM and recommend them 100%.”

Asphalt Paving FAQs
What is the process in getting a paving quote from GPM?
It’s simple! Just reach out to us through our website form and share the details of your paving project. We’ll follow up to schedule an onsite visit, allowing us to assess your project thoroughly. Your quote will provide both the project cost and a precise timeline for completion.
What asphalt mixture do you recommend for the Southern CA climate?
We use a variety of asphalt mix designs to best address every project needs. Hot mix asphalt is ideal for the warm California climate. We will assess which mix works best for your project, and also what type of aggregate will provide the best finished result. Larger aggregates like gravel are needed if the asphalt will be used by heavy commercial vehicles. Smaller aggregate presents a smoother look and is perfect for normal, everyday use.
How do you decide if asphalt or concrete works better?
The type of project typically determines whether we use asphalt or concrete. Asphalt is quicker to install and generally more cost-effective, making it ideal for roads, parking lots, industrial properties, and multi-family or HOA units. However, concrete offers greater strength, making it the better option for heavy loads. Concrete is also preferred for sidewalks, curbs, ramps, gutters, patios, walkways, and water channels. Additionally, concrete can be stamped, colored, and custom-finished, providing numerous options for adding a touch of elegance to the final product.
How soon does new asphalt typically need regular mainteance?
New asphalt takes between six months and a year to fully cure. It shouldn’t need maintenance before then, but if you happen to notice any cracks or damage, notify your asphalt provider immediately. Your asphalt should be sealed after it cures. After that, we recommend sealing your asphalt every three to five years. You should also inspect your pavement at least once a year for cracks, potholes, and other damage.
