Mill & Fill
This consists of removing existing pavement with a milling machine to a depth of 1-2”, and then applying new asphalt mix.
Asphalt Removal & Replacement
Eventually, asphalt reaches the end of its life cycle. At that point the only realistic solution is to remove the existing pavement and replace it with new asphalt.

What is the process of getting a paving quote with GPM?

How do you decide if asphalt or concrete works better?
Usually the type of project dictates whether we use asphalt or concrete. Asphalt is easier to install and usually costs less than concrete. It’s ideal for roads, parking lots, industrial properties, and multi-family or HOA units. However, concrete provides a stronger finished project than asphalt, so is often the best choice for heavy loads. Concrete is also preferred for sidewalks, curbs, ramps, gutters, patios, walkways, and water channels. Concrete can be stamped, colored and custom finished which offers many options for a touch of beauty to the finished product.
How soon does new asphalt typically need regular maintenance?
New asphalt takes between six months and a year to fully cure. It shouldn’t need maintenance before then, but if you happen to notice any cracks or damage, notify your asphalt provider immediately. Your asphalt should be sealed after it cures. After that, we recommend sealing your asphalt every three to five years. You should also inspect your pavement at least once a year for cracks, potholes, and other damage.
My asphalt is starting to crack - do I need to replace it?
No, but cracking is serious because it can quickly spread and cause more damage. If you see cracks, call us immediately. We will crack seal the asphalt if damage is minimal, or we may patch the asphalt if it is more extensive. The sooner cracks are fixed, the less damage they cause and the less it will cost to repair the asphalt.

The region surrounding modern Lompoc was originally home to the Chumash people. After the Spanish conquest of the area, Mission la Purisima was established in 1787. The original mission was destroyed in an earthquake in 1812 and rebuilt a few miles northeast.
Like other cities in the region, Lompoc was part of a Mexican land grant. After Americans took California, settlers began moving into the Lompoc Valley. Lompoc was incorporated in 1888 as a temperance colony.
Modern Lompoc covers approximately 11.7 square miles and is home to 44,444 people. Vandenberg Space Force Base is the city’s primary employer.
