One Coat Chip Seal Application
- Blew and swept the asphalt surface, burning oil spots and removing vegetation as needed.
- Applied hot mix asphalt pavement in sufficient quantity to bring low area to grade and compact, feathering the edges to a smooth transition.
- Sprayed CRS2-H emulsion covering all areas to be chip sealed.
- Emulsion was applied at a rate to ensure complete coverage and provide maximum adherence of subsequent chip rock.
- Installed 25 tons 3/8″ grey chip rock at a uniform depth throughout the project area.
- Pneumatically rolled material for adherence.
