Base Install & Two Coat Chip Seal Application

- Fine-graded and re-compacted the existing subgrade, checking elevations for proper drainage.
- Installed up to 4″ of class II base.
- CRS2-H emulsion covering all areas to be chip sealed.
- The emulsion is applied at a rate to ensure complete coverage and provide maximum adherence to subsequent chip rock.
- Installed 3/8″ grey crushed rock (CalPortland) at a uniform depth throughout the project area.
- Pneumatically rolled material for adherence.
- Repeated the process for a second coat.
- Swept excess chip rock in order to properly stripe.
- Striped new chip seal using one coat of heavy-duty traffic paint.
