Reagan Ranch Road Asphalt Paving Project in Goleta

Project Details

The Reagan Ranch in Goleta, CA, had an old, deteriorated asphalt road that was becoming hazardous to drive on, so they decided to bring in the GPM team to pulverize and pave their driveway, with the addition of an asphalt berm replacement. This project was an ambitious 123,869 sq ft, and it came out beautifully.

The first thing we had to do was pulverize the existing road, lay the material in place, and recompact it. Once that was complete, we were able to pave the ranch’s road with fresh asphalt and replace the asphalt berm.

Asphalt berms are designed to help redirect water runoff so that it does not undermine the asphalt structure. An asphalt berm is essentially a curb; it is usually no more than eight inches in height. The asphalt berm will also help prevent flooding.
